– ‘ZEP QUIZ’, a metaverse-based EdTech platform that ranked #1 in the Korean education market
– An educational quiz room highly preferred by both teachers and students
SEOUL, South Korea, March 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The metaverse-based EdTech platform, ZEP (CEO Kim Won-bae, Kim Shangyup), officially entered the Indonesian education market on March 19th, 2025.
ZEP, which started service in 2021 in South Korea. It has grown rapidly and currently has a cumulative user base of 12 million, with 1.3 million monthly active users.
In April of last year, ZEP launched the EdTech platform ‘ZEP QUIZ‘ based on the technology and expertise it had accumulated. ‘ZEP QUIZ’ has garnered a strong response in Korea, a country known for its high educational enthusiasm, and has become the number one metaverse EdTech platform in the Korean education market.
Teachers can easily create educational quiz rooms – multiple-choice, short-answer, and OX questions – with just a few clicks to use in their lessons. AI features that reduce lesson preparation time are also provided. Students can have an immersive learning experience through quiz rooms with game elements, which is why both teachers and students prefer it. To date, ‘ZEP QUIZ‘ has accumulated 10 million plays and 1.3 million users.
ZEP decided to officially enter the Indonesian market based on the high demand in the local education field. Even before the official launch, the monthly active users of ‘ZEP QUIZ’ in Indonesia had reached 20,000, with daily active users peaking at 50,000, confirming the strong local interest in the platform.
On February 24, ZEP conducted a webinar for local Indonesian teachers on the topic of “Maximizing Student Learning Effectiveness in the Digital Age”. Around 300 teachers participated in the webinar, demonstrating high demand.
ZEP will officially support the Indonesian language for ‘ZEP QUIZ’. It will add traditional Indonesian costumes as avatar costumes and provide a school map reflecting the local atmosphere for free. ZEP plans to continuously introduce various maps and objects that reflect the cultural characteristics of Indonesia.
